blog post #5

I had heard about vipassana from time to time from people around me — especially from my mom, who’d been practicing vipassana for years — but to me it had always just been a slightly vague word used in the household now and then; it made me think of people sitting cross-legged and chanting ancient texts in an ancient language. I’d always disregarded it as some kind of religious practice.

At some point curiosity drove me to ask more about it, proving my initial impression false, and as I learnt more about how vipassana works and all the anecdotes, I decided to register for a 7-day course in Bhopal, which was an invaluable experience nothing short of life-changing.
